Recyclistas Community Bike Shop
The Shop Recyclistas structure is inspired by the wheel. Each member is their own spokes-person, who taps into the facilities of a communal hub. Currently they recycle reconditioned bikes, provide community access to bicycle repair and maintenance workshops, tool and shop rental, and on-site expert assistance for those who wish to repair their own bikes. Volunteer Victoria is here for anyone interested in finding a volunteer placement that suits them. Our Youth Volunteer Connections program works with young people 15-29 to connect with nonprofits looking for volunteers. YVCP supports volunteers along the way - from making the first phone call to checking in throughout the volunteer placement to make sure everything's going well.

Growing Schools
One of LifeCycles’ most exciting local programs is Growing Schools. By helping establish organic food gardens right in the schoolyard, Growing Schools creates living classrooms where educators, elementary learners, parents, and the community can learn about food security, urban agriculture, the environment, community development, and health. LifeCycles Fruit Tree Project
Thanks to hundreds of volunteers and a couple of ladders, the Fruit Tree Project harvests apples, cherries, pears, and other fruit from privately owned trees that would otherwise go to waste. We then share the harvest among homeowners, volunteers, food banks, and community organizations within Victoria. A unique aspect of this project is that a portion of the harvest is set aside to make value-added products that help defray our costs. Urban Agriculture Program
LifeCycles Urban Agriculture program provides support and resources to local organizations and individuals who would like to create organic food gardens in their community, including backyards and community allotment gardens. Volunteers are trained in garden skills and building and support the creation of new gardens! The program also provides workshops on skills related to food and urban agriculture.
