Established in 2002, antidote is a grassroots network and community-based organization of over 150 multiracial girls and women in Victoria, British Columbia. Artemis Place is an independent, integrated life skills and educational program which provides a unique alternative to traditional school for girls in our community who are overlooked by existing programs. Our students are girls at risk, often facing multiple barriers including poverty, violence, substance abuse, lack of family support and learning challenges. Mary Manning Centre (Child Abuse Prevention and Counselling Society of Greater Victoria
The Child Abuse Prevention and Counselling Society (CAPCS), through the Mary Manning Centre, is the primary provider of therapy and victim services for children and youth in Greater Victoria who have experienced sexual abuse. Rite of Me Program
A program for girls to experience a varity of outdoor activities such as canoeing,rock climbing and hiking in a safe and supportative environment. Rite of me is offered in 8-week sessions, twice a year. The groups meet once a week. A nutritious snack is provided as part of the program. Check our website for dates of the program and locations.
