About: AIDS Vancouver Island (AVI) is a community-based AIDS Service Organization (ASO). antidote: Multiracial and Indigenous Girls and Women's Network
Established in 2002, antidote is a grassroots network and community-based organization of over 150 multiracial girls and women in Victoria, British Columbia. The Camas Infoshop is a not-for-profit, collectively-run volunteer bookstore and autonomous space located on Lekwungen Territory in Victoria, British Columbia, Canada. Out in Schools
Out in Schools began as a pilot project in 2004, and is presented by the Out on Screen Film + Video Society, producers of the annual Vancouver Queer Film Festival. Our 1- 2 hour film-based presentations successfully engage students in classroom discussions around the negative consequences of bullying, homophobia, stereotypes and discrimination. Queer Quills
*Queer Quills *A writing group for queer/trans & allies youth ages 14-25 that meet once a week Thursdays 5 pm-7 pm, at Solstice Cafe. Every 2nd and 4th Thursday of the month, right after group the cafe holds ‘Tongues of Fire’, a spoken word night that youth are allowed to participate in or sit back and enjoy! Support and discussion group for Transgender, Gender- queer and Gender variant youth, 25 and under. Every Thursday 6:00pm-8:00pm @ Fairfield Gonzales Community Centre. tru2U Drop-in
A drop-in social group for Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Transgender, Two-Spirited, Asexual and allies, for ages 25 and under. Every Tuesday, 6pm-8pm at Fairfield Gonzales Community Place http://goo.gl/maps/io2rB. Come drop by for some yummy snacks, important discussions, silly games and movie nights.
