Artemis Place
Artemis Place is an independent, integrated life skills and educational program which provides a unique alternative to traditional school for girls in our community who are overlooked by existing programs. Beacon Hill Children's Farm
The farm provides both an educational and economical form of entertainment for the whole family. Our goal is to help children develop a respect for animals that will remain with them for life. The hands-on experience with the goats in the petting area is the most popular feature of the farm.

Beacon Hill Park
The park is beautifully landscaped and manicured with bridges, lakes and ponds, and an alpine and rock garden. It is home to numerous species of ducks, birds and wildlife. A pair of Bald Eagles nests in one of the huge trees and regularly cause havoc for the large family of Great Blue Herons that also nest in a copse of Douglas-fir trees at the west end of the park. Baby's Best Chance Handbook
Provides easy to understand, practical, evidence-based information about having a healthy pregnancy and birth experience, and caring for an infant. The handbook is available from public health nurses, physicians or midwives.

Care Home Parenting Program
Care Home Parenting Program (CHPP) helps young women who are pregnant or in the early months of parenting (aged 16-21) through a combination of housing, life skills training and counselling. The program specifically supports women who are homeless or at risk of becoming homeless. Through supported independent living in a stable and caring environment, the young moms can acquire the skills needed to reach their potential as independent women and skilled parents. New Baby Group
We believe in facilitating the meeting of parents and their babies in diverse and comfortable groups to share their experiences. Within our baby groups, all parents, parents-to-be and babies are welcome: mothers and fathers, breastfeeding and bottle-feeding, first-time and experienced parents, biological and adoptive parents. Grandparents and aunts and uncles are welcome too! Our baby groups are facilitated by moms, doulas and breastfeeding educators. We will also have speakers and discussions on topics chosen by the group. We have a group for everyone, from pregnancy to toddler-ville. The drop-in fee for each meeting is only $2! The New Baby Group meets on Tuesdays from 1-2:30.
