Keep it Private

Youthspace.ca's service is anonymous and confidential. That means that no one has to know that you have used the service, or what you’ve used it for. If you’ve surfed the Internet on a public computer, such as at a library or at school, it’s possible for others to see what websites you have visited. If you don’t want anyone to know that you’ve used our service, here’s what you can do:

  1. Hold down the Shift + Ctrl + Del keys at the same time.
  2. A window will appear with several options. Select Temporary Internet Files, Cookies, and History. Click Delete to clear them.

    Note: You can start Internet Explorer 8's InPrivate browsing feature before visiting Youthspace.ca to help keep your visit private. Open a new page and hold down the Shift + Ctrl + P keys at the same time. A notice will appear saying InPrivate browsing has started and Internet Explorer 8 won't record any information about your website visits.

  1. Click on the Tools menu and select Internet Options.
  2. In the General page under Browsing History, select the Delete button.
  3. Select the Delete all... button at the bottom to clear everything. A confirmation pop-up will appear. Click the Yes button.

  1. In the menu, click Tools.
  2. Click Internet Options... A box will open.
  3. In the middle of the box there is a section named Temporary Internet Files. Click the button marked Delete Files.
  4. When the box pops up, tick the Delete all offline content box and then click OK.
  5. Under History, click Clear History. This will clear the pages you've recently visited.
  6. A box will ask you if you want to delete all items in your history folder. Click Yes.
  7. Click OK to close the Internet Options box.

  1. Click on the Tools menu and select Internet Options.
  2. In the General page under Browser History, select the Delete button.
  3. Select the Delete all button at the bottom to clear everything.




Firefox Icon

  1. When the browser window is open, go to the Tools menu and select Options.
  2. Look for the Privacy tab and change the number of days to keep browsing history to 0. Select Clear Now.
  3. Select OK.




Chrome Icon

  1. Click the Tools menu. If you're using a Mac and the menu isn't visible on the toolbar, select History on the menu bar.
  2. Select History.
  3. Click Delete history for the day you want to clear and then click OK to confirm. Note: You can start Chrome's "incognito mode" before visiting Youthspace.ca to help keep your visit private. To turn on ingonito mode, click the Tools menu and select New incognito window. Browsing in incognito mode keeps Google Chrome from storing information about the websites you've visited.
