About it: The Wilderness Committee is working to save the remaining ancient forest on Vancouver Island, 73% of which has already been logged, and to ban raw log exports. The Victoria chapter of the WCWC was established in 1989 by Derek and Andrew Young. Their main focus for several years was to protect the Carmanah Valley on the West Coast of Vancouver Island.
